Spotlight on Medicon Valley
The Danish-Swedish Medicon Valley in the Øresund Region is one of Europe’s leading life science clusters. Academic strengths on both sides of the Øresund Strait are in cancer, diabetes, and fertility research.
The region is home to large, global pharma-, medtech-, and contract manufacturers in proximity to universities, hospitals, research facilities, and small companies in science parks.
The region’s labor force crosses the Danish-Swedish border, and companies and researchers in both countries collaborate.
